This beautiful apartment in Paris was redesigned by Frédéric Flanquart after an accidental fire ruined parts of its interior.
In each room of the apartment we see how elegantly red has been used to enhance and attract the eye to varying points of interest. The globe makes a point of the corner unit whilst the red insert of the shelf reminds you what you place there.
Not only does the neutral effect of the white and greys set off the red accents but this apartment has the most amazing arrangement of beams.
Here, a simple red shelf is used to keep the continuity, yet not overpower the red theme. Nicely complimented by the red candles in our very own loop candelabra on top.
A perfect example of red accessories to complete the look.
Red storage jars, mugs and seating really give this kitchen and vanity unit a life of it's own.
Meanwhile in the bedroom, a simple red headboard, cushions and seat tie the room together.
Here is an excerpt from the designer’s description:
“The outlook of this area turned really fast into a crazy challenge: design and achieve a shell-free space with – as reference marks- only half-burned out staircases -leading to the lower level-, a huge scaffolding structure used as a roof, and a 360° view over Paris. The client wanted something new, ambitious and creative, in order to turn over a new leaf after 10 years spent at the loft. We came up pretty quickly with the idea of a quiet and relaxing place during the day switching to a genuine place of mystery and pleasure at night. Straight or slanting, geometrically random at times, the work of lines highlights every detail. The loft, a filled with emotions project, combines complexity, simplicity and lightness.”
